Why vacuuming is not enough

What’s actually trapped in your carpet

A daily vacuum clears the surface. Most of what makes carpet look grey, smell stale and wear out sits further down, bonded to the fibres by oil and moisture.

Dry soil by weight

Most of what is in a carpet is grit and sand. Vacuuming lifts the loose particles but leaves grit that has worked under the pile.

Oil

The glue that beats a vacuum

Cooking vapour, body oil and footwear residue coat fibres. Grit sticks to the film and suction alone cannot break the bond.

Salt

Winter tide marks

Calgary and Edmonton sidewalks put salt into entrance carpet every day from November to April. It crystallizes in the pile and shows as white lanes.

Heat

What extraction does differently

Pre-spray dissolves the oil film, hot water loosens the bonded soil and high-vacuum extraction pulls it out from the base.

Carpet cleaning frequency

How often should commercial carpet be cleaned?

Most spaces benefit from professional cleaning every 3 to 6 months. Traffic, salt and fibre type move it either way.

Every 3 months

Lobbies, gyms, retail

Highest traffic and winter salt exposure. Entrance lanes grey fastest.

Every 4 to 6 months

Open-plan offices

Traffic lanes between desks, chair-wheel wear, coffee and lunch spills.

Every 6 to 12 months

Boardrooms & offices

Lower traffic, appearance-driven. Often timed before client visits.

As needed

Before a lease inspection

Most leases require professional carpet cleaning at move-out.

How it works

Our carpet cleaning process

A typical hot-water extraction visit for a 5,000 sq ft open-plan office.

Commercial vacuum removing dry soil from carpet before extraction
  1. Before

    Pre-inspection

Fibre type, stains, traffic lanes and furniture noted against the scope.

  2. Step 1

    Dry soil removal

Commercial vacuum lifts grit and salt so it is not pushed deeper.

  3. Step 2

    Pre-treatment

Traffic lanes and spots pre-sprayed; dwell time loosens bonded soil.

  4. Step 3

    Hot-water extraction

Heated solution injected and recovered in one pass. Edges and corners detailed by hand.

  5. Step 4

    Deodorize and protect

Sanitizing rinse; fibre protector on request.

  6. Step 5

    Grooming and air movers

Pile set in one direction; air movers cut dry time to a few hours.

  7. Morning

    Dry and ready

Furniture reset, chair mats back, completion note to your contact.

Carpet cleaning questions

How often should I schedule professional carpet cleaning?

Most commercial spaces benefit from professional cleaning every 3 to 6 months, depending on foot traffic and flooring type. High-traffic areas like gyms, lobbies and retail may need more frequent service.

How long does the carpet take to dry?

Drying time depends on carpet thickness, airflow and humidity. Most spaces are dry within a few hours; air movers speed this up.

Do I need to prepare anything before the appointment?

Move light items off the floor if you can. Our team cleans around larger furniture and resets anything we move. We walk through prep at the assessment.

How is carpet cleaning priced?

Commercial carpet cleaning is usually priced by the square foot. The rate depends on the size of the area, the carpet’s condition, the cleaning method, and how often you want it done. Contact us for a walkthrough and we’ll give you a written quote.

Are the products safe for staff and clients?

We use eco-certified, commercial-grade solutions and offer unscented and low-scent options for fragrance-sensitive environments.

Can you clean upholstery and entrance mats too?

Yes. Upholstery and mats are common add-ons and are quoted in the same written scope.
