Day porter questions
What is the difference between a day porter and janitorial cleaning?
Janitorial is scheduled after-hours cleaning that resets the building. A day porter works during business hours to keep restrooms, lobbies and common areas presentable while people are in the space.
How many hours a day do I need?
Most buildings start at 4 hours over peak traffic. We recommend hours from footfall, restroom count and amenity use during the walkthrough.
Can I get a day porter without a janitorial contract?
Day porter service is often set up on its own, separate from after-hours janitorial. The right arrangement depends on your building, your hours, and how much coverage you need. We’re always happy to discuss your cleaning needs. Contact us and we’ll walk through the options.
Who covers when my porter is sick or on vacation?
Covering absences is our job, not yours. When your regular porter is away, a trained replacement who knows your site’s routine fills in so service continues. Contact us to talk about how coverage would work at your building.
Are porters uniformed and background checked?
Every PPC team member passes a comprehensive background check before hiring and wears PPC uniform on site.
